Below is my Shell's animation. Maya needed about 3 days to render it on my Intel MacBook Pro 2,33 GHz, 4GB RAM. And this is the low quality version. For an HD 720p render with mental ray, Maya asked for about 20+ days! I am always talking about a 01:52 min animation... Is finally Maya rendering impossible without additional rendering hardware?
